GET MODEM PROFILER (version 1.00)
======================================
This program was a project I decided to write up after I finally
copied the maximum number of modem profiles I could stand. Well, you
see the results here....
LEGAL CRAP
===========
The Getmodem profile is what I like to call NOTIFYWARE. All I
ask in using this piece of software is that you tell me you are using it.
You may do that by calling up my BBS <shameless plug!..<g>> at (816)429-3291>
Please do enter accurate information, as it's one of those registration
requirements.... I figure that's enough since if you are using this program regularly(even semi-
yearly!), that you have access to a modem (getting kinda stiff here). Well
all I got to say is that this file is only guaranteed to take up space on the
ol' hard drive and that I'm not liable for any losses, damages, etc, etc. that
you may have in using this file. Well now that we're done with that...
The real deal
=============
The program reads the 'profiles' of a Hayes AT compatible modem and
outputs it to a text file which is easily read and transmitted.
Basically, what happens in using this file...
1) You are prompted to enter the location of your modem:
For example: COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4...
2) You are prompted to enter the location/name of the output text
file. For example:
c:\example\myconfig.txt
lookatme.txt
3) Then the program does it's job and you have your text file there..
Ain't that just easy <big grin!>
Incidentally, DOS needs to be in your path for this to work (it should be
anyway, so there shouldn't be a big deal there).
Increase the peace. Remember. The BEST person in the whole world that you
could ever know in your lifetime is Jesus Christ!! Later!!!
